MOVE IN DAY AT THE NEW STUDIO
MOVE IN DAY
Last Saturday was move-in day at the new studio - a day that I had been counting down to for weeks. We had a scheduled delivery in the morning, a pick-up in the afternoon, and then we loaded a U-Haul with all the new arrivals that had been piling up during the last few weeks.
PAINT COLOR MATCH GONE WRONG
The plan was to assemble the furniture and then set-up the studio, but as luck would have it, the paint color match for the interior wasn't done correctly, so instead of BM Simply White - a favorite, true and tested color - the walls were painted a concoction of a horrible greenish-white.
I was out-of-state working on a new build project, and didn't catch the mistake until I returned, and by that time it was too late. So now we are doing a little backtracking - we hauled out the things that we could move easily to get them out of the way of the painter while leaving all the boxed pieces behind.
Aside from the paint fiasco, the new flooring is in, and the new baseboards will go next. Here's a sneak peek of how things are looking so far, but you'll have to imagine Simply White on all the walls, ceilings and trims.
Come back soon!
