KITCHEN PAINT, COUNTER TOPS & CABINET HARDWARE - PROJECT HAVERSACK
Let's Talk Tile
While shopping finish materials, my client was immediately drawn to a gorgeous basketweave, accent tile from Sonoma Tile Makers. This was our jumping off point for all the other materials.
We decided to go with the 2x2 basketweave accent tile, placed on the diagonal for the frame-out behind the cook top. We chose a medium profile trim pieces to boarder the diagonal tiles, and to trim out the ends of the 3x6 backsplash tiles.
From there we selected the quartz for the counter tops and then choose a coordinating glaze for all of the beautiful, hand-made tiles.
just look at these beauties!
finish material selections
the take away
Selecting finish materials for a space can feel over-whelming. Make it easier by finding one thing that you love and then use that as a jumping off point for all the other selections.
Good question! The final kitchen photos are what's next! But...because I'm into this story-telling / take away thing. I'll be first sharing sneak peeks in my Simply Sundays post this very Sunday which will include lots of tips on stylizing a kitchen.
