STUDIO CHRISTMAS PARTY - PART 1
What do you do when you’re new in town and you want to get to know people? You host a party!
What do you do when you’re crazy enough to try to throw a party only two weeks before the party date? You bring in the big guns!
For years, I have admired Shannin Williams’ work and have dreamed of collaborating with her. Lucky for me, when I reached out to see if she could do a rendering of the studio, within a few short days I received this beautiful art work, that I then used to design the invitations.
Next, I reached out to Jaylene, my uber talented friend from This Sojourn Life to see if she would have time to do a few fresh floral arrangements. To say that she exceeded my expectations would be a huge understatement. She delivered! I’ve now vowed that I will never, again do a party without her gorgeous work!
You can’t have a holiday party without sweet treats, right? I pulled out some of my favorite go-to, feed-a-crowd, make-ahead, sweet-treat recipes and started baking. *See Part 2 of the Christmas Party post for the recipes.
The next hurdle was to find a photographer to shoot the event. Lucky for me, Nicole from Nicole Dianne had an opening in her busy schedule. Not only did her photos turn out beautifully, she was a complete delight to work with!
A few close friends, friends and family of friends, gathered before the party started for photos. Oh how I loved having the small, 652 square foot studio filled with happy chatter!
And believe it or not, there was no pre-planning with what to wear - and crazy enough, we were all in sync with one another.
A big thanks to everyone who came to the party, and filled the 652 square foot studio with Christmas joy!
